When I Create a New Workspace I Don’t See the Green New Automation Button - Is This Just Me?

Why Can't I See the Green New Automation Button in My New Workspace?

Starting a new workspace in an automation software can be both exciting and a little confusing, especially when you're expecting to see certain features right away. One common question that often arises is why the green New Automation button is missing when creating a new workspace. If you've encountered this issue, rest assured, you're not alone.

When you create a new workspace with no existing automations, the menu may appear different than what you expect. Instead of immediately seeing the green New Automation button, you will be directed to a new automation screen. This screen is designed to guide you through setting up your first automation in a fresh workspace.

Upon entering this new automation screen, you may notice that there are no automations displayed yet. This is because the workspace is empty, and there are no existing automations to show. Essentially, the system is prompting you to create a new automation from scratch.

If you were hoping to find the green New Automation button right on the main dashboard of your new workspace, the absence of this button can be puzzling. However, the intention behind starting you off on the new automation screen is to streamline the process of creating your first automation without any distractions.

In essence, the experience of not seeing the green New Automation button in your new workspace is a deliberate design choice to guide users through setting up their initial automations seamlessly. By focusing on the new automation screen first, you can dive straight into the process of creating your automation workflows without any unnecessary steps.

So, if you find yourself in a new workspace wondering where the green button went, remember that it's all part of the system's plan to help you get started with automations efficiently. Embrace the clean slate of a fresh workspace and let the new automation screen be your gateway to building customized automations tailored to your specific needs.

In conclusion, the absence of the green New Automation button in a new workspace is not a glitch or an oversight – it's a deliberate choice to streamline the automation setup process. By understanding this design decision, you can confidently navigate your way through creating your first automations in a new workspace.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

So when we have a workspace with no automations, the menu is going to be a little bit different because we will be taken automatically to this new automation screen. So a fresh workspace is going to be on this new automation screen already. If I was to click in here, we have no automations to display.

So it's just displaying the same page as if I was to have clicked new automations.
