Ensuring Your Cloud Runs Are Actually Running

In the modern world of automation and cloud computing, ensuring that your tasks are running smoothly and efficiently is crucial. But how can you know for sure that your cloud runs are actually running? Let's dive into how you can monitor and verify the status of your cloud automation tasks.

Task History Overview

One of the simplest ways to check on the status of your automation tasks is by accessing the task history feature in your cloud platform. By navigating to your automation settings and selecting task history, you can get a comprehensive view of all your automation logs in one convenient location.

Cloud vs. Desktop Automation

When reviewing the task history, you will be able to distinguish between cloud automation and desktop automation runs. The task history will display icons indicating whether a task was executed from the cloud or from a desktop system. This distinction is crucial in understanding the origin and execution of your tasks.

Desktop Icon:

  • If you see the desktop icon, it indicates that the task was either manually triggered by clicking play steps or scheduled to run on your local desktop system.
  • This icon represents tasks that are executed locally on your machine, providing insight into tasks initiated by you directly.

Cloud Icon:

  • When tasks are executed from the cloud, you will notice the cloud icon in the task history.
  • Tasks running from the cloud signify automated processes that are managed and executed within the cloud environment, offering scalability and flexibility in task execution.

Monitoring and Reviewing

By regularly monitoring the task history and reviewing the icons associated with each task, you can ensure that your automation processes are running as intended. This visual indication of cloud or desktop execution provides transparency and clarity in tracking the status of your tasks.

Conclusion

In conclusion, monitoring the task history of your cloud automation processes is essential for ensuring the successful execution of your tasks. By leveraging the task history feature and understanding the significance of cloud vs. desktop icons, you can confidently verify that your cloud runs are indeed running efficiently.

Stay proactive in monitoring your automation tasks and empower yourself with the knowledge of where and how your tasks are being executed in the cloud environment.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

If we have our automation turned on from cloud, we can check on its task history by clicking on our automation and then selecting task history. This will show us both of our cloud automation and our desktop automation logs so that we can review everything in one place. You'll see the icon to let you know if it ran from cloud or ran from desktop.

It'll show the desktop icon whether you clicked play steps or if it ran from your actual desktop system because it was scheduled to do so automatically. It'll just show cloud whenever it runs from cloud.
