VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Hey everybody, Jeremy Redman here from Task Magic with Kyle. How's it going? Hi, and in this video, hi Kyle, and in this video we're going to show you how traffic control works, what it is, and why it's important, correct? Yes. Okay, first off Kyle, show us how to get to traffic control. So traffic control will only show if you have an automation that ran or is running.

So if you go into your automations and you select one to run and click place, does it will traffic control only show up if it's a desktop run or a cloud run and or both? It'll show for any runs happening. Okay, great. Okay. So I clicked play steps there, which is why now I have an automation running. So now I have traffic control.

Okay, and then we know it's running because why this was a play icon and it was in progress It just I can click place and then you see the progress bar, correct? So we see this one's pretty fast, but we'll see the play icon here and we have in progress And then if we wanted to view the automation that's currently running, we can click into it to see its logs and things like that.

Okay. Got you. Okay. So you see the progress bar, things like that. Okay. So X out of that. Okay, great. So here you have traffic control shows all your run history. Is that correct? Correct. Okay. So also we want to know here at the bottom, it says automations run headless by default. This means headless means You won't see a browser while running.

Okay, so if you played steps, you won't see the browser window open, but you can change that setting by going to on the left hand side under your automation, you go to advanced settings. Then screen settings. Can you demonstrate that on the left? Cool. Advanced settings, screen settings, and then manage screen.

And then you check, always show browser when running desktop only and then save. Okay. So we have that. So just that that's not a bug. That is actually a feature. Okay. So you click here for, you can click each run for more details. So if you click that, you can export data. So data in data out. You can replay it.

Okay, cool. You can replay it. You can X out of it. What's that do stop it. This removes it from traffic control. So if I click X here, it'll remove whichever one of these it was. Why would you want to do that? You're done with it. Why would you want to exit out of it on traffic control? Um, you don't need to, you, it might've been something that ran and you, it's just kind of like a, this is kind of like a notification section.

You can consider that like. Clicking this is like clicking red. Okay. Alright, great. So, each one of these is the run steps. Correct. So each on if you go back, okay, each one of these is one run. Okay, run of one automation, you click inside, you see all the steps being executed for that run. So step one, go to page right was successful, successful, successful, successful.

Boom. So it kind of shows you the summary here. You can go, you can bring data in, push data out, uh, anything out, how long it took to run anything else on this screen, run details. Nope. This is a good way to check your filters and things because some people have trouble with like, is it includes, should I use is, should I, what type of filter condition should I use?

This is a good way to check it because it'll explain what it found and what the filter Um, thought as it, uh, yeah, so it will actually say typing Dallas, Texas, correct. So it'll tell you the filter did this and then it compared it to this and then that failed that way. You can adjust your filter so that it can pass or feel how you want.

Okay, so exit out of this exit out of run details. Is there anything else in traffic control? Oh, so filter so you can filter for what? So if you have a lot of active runs, or if this is something where you have a very active account, you might want to queue, you might want to see just your queued runs, or maybe you want to just review failed runs, and you don't really care about any completed runs.

These are all clickable for you to filter those specific things. Obviously, I only have them in completed, which is why none of these are showing. Um, and then you can also adjust your filter by clicking here and selecting one of the options. Okay. So click filter again. So you can filter for all runs in progress, runs, completed runs, failed runs, and queued runs.

Yeah, so queued runs are because you can only have one of the same automations running at one time. You can have a hundred different automations running at the same time, assuming your computer can handle it, but you can only run one of the same. So if I click play steps kind of quick here, we'll see that the second run was queued.

Got you. Okay. Okay. And also, how would do we differentiate between what's cloud and desktop and traffic control? Um, that'll be in the logs when you click into the automation. The first message here will also tell you if it's a cloud run or not. Okay, great. Awesome. So that's terrific. And then we'll probably, you will probably see a cloud icon here and a desktop icon here, right, Kyle?

Yeah, the desktop or cloud icon should be next to this play button, most likely, or should it replace this out icon? No, yeah, it should be on the left. Okay. So on the left, there will be a cloud icon if it runs from cloud and a desktop icon if it runs from desktop in traffic control. Okay. Cool. And then also we will add tips here as well.

So like, we'll have pro tips. If, if a run fails here, you will be able, you will be told, Hey, maybe you want to do some randomized mouse clicks or Hey, Hey, Add a browser VPN or a proxy IP. So if it fails, we give you a couple things like, Hey, you might want to manage cookies. Those will be available in traffic control as well, right?

If it fails. None of these failed, but if it does, it will show up there. Depending on the error, it'll either show here in your automation or it'll tell you that in the run logs as well. Okay. Terrific. Awesome. And that is traffic control.
