Mastering Automation: A Guide on How to Change Automation Names

Automation tools have revolutionized the way we work, streamlining processes and increasing efficiency like never before. However, as we create more and more automations, keeping track of them can become challenging. One simple yet powerful way to better manage your automations is by customizing their names. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to change the name of an automation in a few easy steps.

Renaming Your Automations for Better Organization

When dealing with multiple automations, it's easy for them to all start looking the same with default names. To start customizing your automations, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Automation: Click into the automation that you want to rename. If the automation still carries its default name, look for the option to rename it.
  1. Access the Rename Option: On the left-hand side of the screen, you'll find the "rename automation" option. Click on this to begin the renaming process.
  1. Customize the Name: Click on the rename option and then use your mouse to select and delete the existing name. In its place, type in the new name you want to assign to the automation. For example, you can name it 'Example Name' to differentiate it from others.
  1. Save Your Changes: Once you've entered the new name, click on the save button. You'll immediately see the renamed automation reflected in your list.

Witness the Transformation

By following these simple steps, you can quickly and easily change the name of your automation, making it easier to identify and manage. Take a moment to appreciate the impact of a simple name change as you navigate back to the build section. Your 'Example Name' automation now stands out, ready to serve you in your tasks.

In conclusion, mastering automation goes beyond just creating them – it's about optimizing and organizing them for maximum efficiency. By customizing automation names, you take a step towards better organization and clarity in your workflow.
