When you select the "type" option to record a type step, you can effortlessly input text into designated fields and see the captured text displayed at the bottom of the window.

If you type elsewhere before confirming the step, it will reset the recorded text. To maintain precision, it is recommended to select the exact input field you wish to interact with and verify the captured text before proceeding.

By editing the value in the input field and saving the changes, you can observe the updated text displayed upon execution.

Step 1- Click on type step

Step 2- Write the username and password —Click confirm for the automation record

Step 3- To test the step click on three dots- Click on edit

Step 4- Edit the user name and click on save. then play the steps to check the changes

Inside of the guided window, one of the options that we have is a type step, and this is going to allow us to fill out forms, type in to input fields, uh, fill out message boxes, things like that. So if I click on type to record a type step, I can then click on the input field. I want to type in, I'll click this one for example, and then I could type my username and we'll see that that gets captured in the bottom here.

Now, if I wasn't confirming this step and I type somewhere else, that's going to reset this step. We want to make sure that we record the exact box and we keep the text that we wanted to record in the bottom left here. So if I go back to this input field, we'll see that it found what I typed and this would be okay to record now.

So I'll go ahead and click confirm. We can say whether or not that's a variable. That doesn't matter as much. And then from here, we'll have our type step that we could make any changes to any advanced settings that we would need to, um, make it use a variable and things like that. So to test this step, we can change the value by clicking the, uh, black portion of the box here.

Or clicking the three dots and then, um, click edit. This is going to show you what is supposed to be typed into that field. And if I was to change this to something else like task magic, and then save this, I can click the play icon and we'll see a type that new value there. So we can test these steps.
