Unlocking the Magic: Automating Facebook with TaskMagic Without APIs
Introduction: Hey, everybody! Jeremy Redmond here, the Founder of TaskMagic. Today, I want to address a common question: "Facebook took their API away. Can I still automate Facebook with TaskMagic?" The answer is a resounding yes, and let me explain why you don't need APIs to work magic with TaskMagic.
The Power of Front-End Automation: When we talk about automating tasks with APIs or apps like Zapier, we often rely on backend processes. However, TaskMagic takes a different approach by allowing you to interact directly with the front end. This means you can click, type, sign in, and bypass hurdles like two-factor authentication to streamline your automation processes.
Embracing Change with Front-End Automation: Unlike traditional API-based automation, front-end automation provides a more dynamic solution. You are not reliant on external companies updating their APIs, which can often lead to disruptions in your automation flow. With TaskMagic, you adapt to changes seamlessly by re-recording steps based on visual cues.
Simplified Troubleshooting: One of the key advantages of front-end automation is the ease of troubleshooting. No more delving into complex code or waiting on support teams. With TaskMagic, identifying and fixing issues is as simple as re-recording a step based on the updated interface.
Conclusion: In conclusion, TaskMagic offers a revolutionary approach to automation that doesn't depend on APIs. By leveraging front-end interactions, you can navigate changes efficiently and eliminate the need for constant adjustments. Embrace the power of TaskMagic and unlock a world of possibilities in automating your Facebook processes.

Hey, everybody. Hey, everybody. Jeremy Redmond here. Founder of TaskMagic. So we got this question. All right. And it's Facebook took their API away. Can I still automate Facebook with TaskMagic? Yes. Okay. And I actually added on here. Yes. And why you don't need, I'm going to explain why you don't need APIs and what the magic in TaskMagic is.
So why we do automate with APIs or our apps way to automate, um, that's the Zapier make, those things. Uh, we essentially allow you to click and type on the front end as well. So you can grab cookies, sign in, it gets past all the things that you need to get past, like 2FA, whatever, um, and automate things on the front end.
Right? So actually, if you come here, right? So we have here, so you can come here. We have this question and this question was from a video then. So his thing was Facebook, let's see, let's open this
and YouTube. So go check out his channel and in his case, Facebook broke live streaming to groups, right? So that wasn't in their API and this is why it's so great to actually have, um, front end automation. Because you don't need that company to give you access to their API. And every time that they change something, You have to make changes as a developer or your automation gets broken so often and quite more often than I'd like Even when automating with Zapier or make or some of those tools developers on air table side change API's or like reef like deprecate or parentheses, get rid of, right?
That's what deprecate means, um, functions or features inside how they do something with their API or how they send data for non technical people. So for us, it's very great that we don't care about that. Now, the downside to front end automation is if they change something drastically, like You click a button in that dot, that button doesn't appear, but guess what?
You don't need to be an engineer to debug code in JSON format, right? You don't need to go in logs, change like any kind of logs and see all this code you don't understand and see where the bug is, right. Or see where to fix something or wait on Zapier or wait on air tables teams. To actually get you things that you need.
You don't need to talk to Zapier support or Airtable support. It's a go around. It's horrible. Instead, all you do with front end automation is re record that step. That's it. Because again, you can see that button's not there anymore. So you can now just automate where that button is or where they moved it to, or if it's a different button or it has a different thing, it's that simple.
It's all visual. That's what's great. Um, so yes, you don't need access to APIs to automate on the front end things. Let me know if you have any questions.
