My browser window won’t close after running an automation/ browser already in progress. Close browser and replay. What do I do?

Step by step guide on how to force quit Chromium on both Windows and Mac.

There are two solutions for both Mac and Windows. They both are practically the same but with small variations.

For Mac users.

The first solution for Mac users would be to hard quit the chromium browser window. Right click on the app icon then select quit.

The second solution would be to open the task manager by pressing the following key combination command ⌘ + option ⌥ + esc. After pressing the combination, the task manager should pop up. Choose “Chromium” and press “Force Quit”.

For Windows users.

The first solution for Windows users would be to hard quit the chromium browser window. Right click on the app icon then select “Close window”.

The second solution would be to open the task manager by pressing the following key combination Crtl + Shift ⇧ + esc. After pressing the combination, the task manager should pop up. Choose “Chromium” and press “End task”.
